What are messenger rooms on WhatsApp?
The Messenger rooms on WhatsApp allows you to call and spend time together with friends, family, and others. These rooms are even capable of supporting video chats for larger groups. First, you have to create messenger rooms. Then in order to add people to the room, send invite links on chats in WhatsApp, even if they do not have a Facebook account or the Messenger application installed. Messenger rooms can be accessed from the shortcut given within WhatsApp. This will take you to the Messenger app or the Messenger website (if the messenger app is not installed). How to create a messenger room?
OPTION 1
Step 1: Open WhatsApp on your smartphone.
Step 2: Then go to the ‘calls’ tab section.
Step 3: Now, in order to create a room tap on ‘create a room’ icon.

OPTION 2
Step 1: Open an individual chat or a group chat.
Step 2: Then tap on the ‘attach’ icon as shown in the image below-
Step 3: Then tap on the ‘Room’ option to create a messenger room.

OPTION 3
Step 1: Open a group chat in your WhatsApp messenger.
Step 2: Then tap on the ‘group call’ icon.
Step 3: Then, tap on ‘create a room’ option.
Note: This option is only available when your group chat has five or more participants.
Step 4: If you are prompted, then tap on ‘CONTINUE IN MESSENGER’.

You will then be redirected out of your WhatsApp and to the Messenger app or the Messenger website in your mobile browser.

Points to keep in mind:
As messenger rooms take place outside of WhatsApp, and Messenger is a separate application and website, therefore the Facebook terms and practices will be applied.
Must have the latest version of the Messenger installed on your smartphone.
Log in to your Messenger app with your Facebook account.
Step 5: If your asked, then tap on ‘try it’ option.
Step 6: Then, press on ‘create room as {your name}’.
If you want to customize the purpose of the room, press on ‘Room activity’.
How to share a messenger room link?
Step 1: After pressing the ‘Create Room’, tap on ‘SEND LINK ON WHATSAPP‘ to reopen WhatsApp.
Step 2: Choose or search the contacts or group chats to share the room link with.
Step 3: After that, tap the ‘arrow’.
Step 4: Now, you will see the link will within a text bar, where you can customize your message.
- The link will automatically appear within the text bar of the individual or group chat in case you began creating a chat room from a specific individual or group chat and not the calls tab.
Step 5: Tap on the Send icon to send the room link.
