Android 10
Google launched Android Q to its Pixel smartphones on September 3, 2019.
Now you must be thinking, is it Android Q or Android 10?. On August 22, 2019, Google announced that Android “Q” would officially be branded as Android 10, ending the historic practice of naming major versions after desserts. Unlike the previous versions of Android, this version doesn’t have a cute dessert name. It’s just “Android 10” now.

How can I check my version of Android?
To check the Android version you are using in your smartphone is a very simple task. Just follow these simple steps and you will know your Android version in less than a minute:
STEP 1 – Go to your Phone Settings
Just scroll down you Notification access and then tap on the settings icon as shown in the image below-

STEP 2 – Tap on About Phone
Once you entered your smartphone settings menu, just scroll down to the option About Phone (it may also read “About Device”). Then, tap on it.

After that, you will see a list of information about your smartphone such as the Device Name, Model, Android Version, Device Storage, Kernel Version, Android Security Patch Level, etc.

How to Update to Latest Android Version?
The Android updates are first handled by the manufacturer of your phone. It means that even if Google has launched a new Android version, it doesn’t mean that you’ll get that update. It totally depends on the manufacturer of the smartphone you are using.
Now, to check if there’s an update available for your device, head into Settings > About Phone > System Updates.

It is not necessary that you will find the System Updates under the About Phone Section. You might see that Option directly under the phone Settings Menu as Software Updates, depending on your phone. For example, Realme puts the System Updates option in the root of the Settings menu as Software Updates as shown in the image below-

On tapping this option, the phone will check for an update. But there’s a good chance it won’t find any update. As soon as an update is available/ready for your device, it generally notifies you of that fact and prompts you to download and install it right then.
The only way to make sure you’ll get the latest Android version is to buy from the Pixel line. Google always updates these phones first. They’re also generally up to date with the latest major version and security patches.
